Qualifications

• Must hold a BSN and be a licensed RN in California (CA DCA).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing in abdominal transplant inpatient care.
• Minimum 2 years nursing in acute care prior to application.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and planning skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Active RN license (CA DCA).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS preferred.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within required timeframe.
• ACLS certification required; specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial unit assessment at each shift and conduct formal rounds.
• Monitor staff competencies and optimize staff assignments for safety.
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate patient flow and handoffs.
• Communicate staffing plans to the Patient Flow Center each shift.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient acuity, staffing, and breaks.
• Delegate tasks, supervise unit activities, and support staff during emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient care goals.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and unit policies.
