Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Greater Manchester Region seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager Amb to supervise nursing and non-licensed staff, manage staffing, payroll, and scheduling, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective care in a collaborative environment.

The role involves daily operations oversight, performance improvement participation, and hands-on nursing support as needed to maintain safe, patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in the State of CT.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association.
• Additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, clinical personnel and unit operations.
• Oversee daily operations of the assigned area and staffing.
• Manage payroll, schedules and patient throughput to ensure efficiency.
• Support leadership in Performance Improvement projects.
• Provide staff RN coverage when needed and foster a safe environment.
