Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital, is seeking an experienced nursing leader to provide local leadership across administration, education, informatics and quality at the Duke Health Raleigh campus in North Carolina. The role shapes standards of care and staff development for patient populations across the continuum.

This full-time leadership position supports 40 hours per week with night shifts and call requirements, guiding multidisciplinary teams and advancing patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Emergency Department experience required.
• DUHS Career Ladder Level IV eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Identify care needs for patient populations across the continuum.
• Provide leadership in standards of care, patient/family education and staff education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and lead delivery of patient care.
• Lead educational activities, departmental committees, and research projects.
• Oversee selection, use, care and control of material resources.
• Guide professional growth of staff through coaching and mentoring.
• Design orientation modules and primary precepting of nursing students.
• Lead initiatives to improve quality of care at departmental or regional levels.
• Conduct performance reviews and personnel actions as needed.
