Responsibilities

The nurse manager is accountable for implementing Mayo Clinic's vision, mission, and values within the Department of Nursing. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating operational, fiscal, and personnel activities to ensure quality patient care 24/7. Contributes to strategic planning, manages one or more inpatient units, advocates for resource allocation, manages the work unit budget, promotes shared decision-making, and facilitates collaboration across disciplines. Responsible for staff development and maintaining a professional environment. Direct reports may include nurse supervisors.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.

Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate nursing degree required; master's preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited Master's in Nursing or DNP program, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years nursing or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Experience in the department's specialty preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure
  • Current RN license or acceptable equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Additional licensure or certification as required.
Additional Details
  • Exempt status.
  • Salary range: $126,672 - $190,049/year.
  • Full-time, 80 hours per pay period.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, hours vary; weekends as needed.
  • No international assignment.
