Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Nurse Manager for its 36-private-bed 3 Palm Med/Surg Cardiac Telemetry unit. The role focuses on daily operational oversight, coordinating clinical and operational functions to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care with a competent team.

Responsibilities include staff recruitment/retention, performance evaluation, shared governance, and ongoing education. Bachelor's-level nursing with RN licensure is required; MSN preferred with progression timelines; BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; MSN enrollment within 1 year of hire and graduation within 5 years if using non-BSN undergrad.
• BSN holders may need a Master's in a health-related field or MBA.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS per policy guidelines; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational oversight of the nursing unit to ensure quality, cost-effective care.
• Promote a safe environment and maintain clinical/professional competency.
• Recruitment and retention of qualified staff with appropriate orientation and development.
• Delegate via shared governance and drive research to improve outcomes.
• Perform nursing care, assist with treatments, therapies, and medications as needed.
• Provide and assess patient/family education effectiveness.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality.
• Assist in development of policies reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Ensure unit resources and budgetary oversight are managed cost-effectively.

Education

RN licensure in appropriate state

MSN preferred

MSN within 5 years if BSN not held

Master's degree in health-related field or MBA acceptable with BSN

Management experience preferred

BLS certification
