Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred upon hire; required within 5 years if applicable.
• Current NYS RN license and BLS certification are required.
• Certification in area of specialty and/or Nursing Administration (NE/NEA) within 2 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and management of a designated care area on a 24-hour basis.
• Develops, fosters and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service and nursing care.
• Collaborates with inter-professional teams to ensure quality patient experience, safety and efficiency.
• Leads staff development, performance evaluation, and budgetary planning for the area.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and promotes professional growth and shared governance.
