Job description

The Nurse Manager will supervise all designated nursing staff and other clinical support staff functions in the Medicine Specialties Clinic. Ensuring appropriate management of resources and quality patient care are essential job duties for this position. This includes: initiating actions for resolutions, maintaining nursing standards of care and magnet-related designations requirements as well as participating in updating policies and procedures.

In addition, the positions will be responsible for ensuring adequate nursing staff and clinical support staff are available to care for patients, work with staff to develop schedules and coverage plans, act as a clinical and systems resource for staff, and complete designated staff performance evaluations. The position will work directly with the practice manager and ambulatory nursing director for practice and clinical improvement and nursing initiative.
