Center for Special Surgery in St. Petersburg, Florida, an USPI ambulatory surgery center, seeks a Nurse Manager to lead all departmental operations in alignment with our mission and goals.

You will oversee Pre‑op/PACU/PAT, coordinate care across teams, and build strong relationships with patients, physicians, staff and vendors, using data to drive improvements and staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Two years experience in surgery management that must include pre‑op, intra‑op, post‑op care with total joint and spine experience.
• Licenses/Certifications/ Registrations
• Current FL RN License
• BLS & ACLS Certification required

Responsibilities

• Oversees all departmental functions in support of facility mission, goals and patient care quality.
• Identifies cost‑effective systems and resources to support department operations.
• Establishes relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
• Drives continuous quality improvement using patient satisfaction data and staff involvement.

Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost‑effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Oversees Pre‑op/PACU/PAT; assists as Pre‑op/PACU/PAT RN as necessary.
