Job summary

The Surgery Center of Ft. Lauderdale is seeking an OR/GI (RN) Manager for a full-time role. The incumbent will oversee perioperative services, coordinate equipment and supplies, and work with the administrator to meet facility goals.

The candidate should have an OR RN license, 5 years nursing experience, and 3 years OR experience; ASCs/HOPD management is preferred, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications within 6 months of hire. introductory benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Associates in nursing from an approved nursing school required; BSN preferred.
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience.
  • Three (3) years of operating room experience preferred.
  • ASC / HOPD management experience preferred.
  • Current OR RN license.
  • Current certification in BLS - ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees and vendors.
  • Coordinates special equipment, supply and equipment needs for cases with materials management.
  • Identify and remedy through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
  • Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.
  • Assist as RN Circulator as necessary.
  • Evaluate staff performance and participate in interviews for staff selection.
  • Serve as a role model of professional behavior and manage personnel to meet facility goals.

OR/GI Manager at The Surgery Center Of Ft Lauderdale.

This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees and vendors. Coordinates special equipment, supply and equipment needs for cases working closely with the materials manager. The OR/GI Manager identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The OR Manager works with the Administrator in meeting Facility goals. Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. Assists as RN Circulator as necessary.

  • Clinical resource for perioperative services staff members using evidence-based knowledge and prevailing standards.
  • Evaluates current practice through quality and performance improvement measures.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within the health care organization.
  • Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
  • Use effective conflict resolution techniques.
  • Operationally and fiscally manage the perioperative services department.
  • Collect and analyze data that applies to perioperative services to facilitate collaboration and negotiation with stakeholders.
  • Participate in interviews for staff selection.
  • Evaluates staff member performance.
  • Serve as a role model of professional behavior.
  • Assess the political climate within the organization
  • Ensure that the appropriate personnel, equipment, and supplies are available.
  • Pursue professional growth and participate in a professional organization.
