Center for Special Surgery in St. Petersburg, Florida, seeks a Nurse Manager to lead all departmental functions in line with the hospital's mission and goals. You will identify cost-effective systems, build strong relationships with patients, physicians, staff and vendors, and drive continuous patient satisfaction improvements.

The role includes supervision of Pre-op, PACU, and PAT areas. The ideal candidate brings formal nursing education, 2+ years in surgery management with joint/spine

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Two years’ experience in surgery management with total joint and spine experience.
• Current FL RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU/PAT; assists as Pre-op/PACU/PAT RN as necessary
