United Surgical Partners International (USPI) seeks a Nurse Manager for Center for Special Surgery in St. Petersburg, FL. The role oversees all departmental functions and partners with physicians, staff and vendors to meet facility goals in an ambulatory surgery setting.

Responsibilities include managing Pre-op/PACU/PAT operations and stepping in as RN as needed, with focus on cost-effective systems and patient satisfaction. BSN preferred; Florida RN license required; BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Two years experience in surgery management including pre-op, intra-op, post-op care with total joint and spine experience.
• Current FL RN License.
• BLS & ACLS Certification required.

Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies variances through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Oversees Pre-op/PACU/PAT; assists as Pre-op/PACU/PAT RN as necessary
