Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise daily nursing activities performed by shift staff, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
- Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain comprehensive care.
- Develop, maintain, and implement the community's quality assurance program for the nursing department.
- Manage resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Complete required record-keeping forms and charts upon resident admission, transfer, or discharge.
- Perform routine charting duties following established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians, observing the five rights of medication administration.
- Review medication and treatment records for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct daily rounds to ensure nursing staff performance meets standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved LPN or RN program.
- Current, active RN license in the state.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric populations preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, customer service, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High personal accountability, responsibility, and decision-making abilities.
