Job summary
Pyramid Healthcare's inpatient treatment center in Duncansville, PA is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN, minimum 16 hours per month. You will join a recovery-focused team, administer medications, monitor withdrawal using COWS and CIWA, and provide patient education in a collaborative environment.
Qualified candidates hold an active PA LPN license with CPR/BLS, First Aid, and AED certifications, and have experience in inpatient or behavioral health settings.
Qualifications
- Current, active Pennsylvania LPN license.
- CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications on active status.
- AED certification preferred or required.
- Behavioral health and inpatient nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for new admissions.
- Administer medications and provide treatment education.
- Monitor withdrawal protocols using COWS and CIWA.
- Document clinical activities in a timely, accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team.

PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Inpatient Treatment Center
Location: 1894 Plank Road, Duncansville, PA 16635
Schedule: PRN / As Needed / Minimum 16 hours per month

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and play a vital role in supporting clients on their recovery journey.

Our inpatient nursing environment allows you to focus on what matters most: delivering quality clinical care and supporting clients in recovery.
- No assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- No catheters, IVs, ports, or midlines
- No blood draws (completed by a contracted national laboratory)
- Minimal physical demands with no heavy lifting required
- Fully electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR)
- Collaborative, recovery-focused treatment environment

- Administer medications and provide education regarding prescribed treatments
- Monitor and manage withdrawal protocols utilizing COWS and CIWA assessment tools
- Observe and assess client health status and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
- Assist providers during medical evaluations and medication management appointments
- Ensure compliance with medication administration standards and nursing best practices
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
- Follow all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
- Complete required trainings, certifications, and continuing education
- Work closely with interdisciplinary treatment team members
- Communicate effectively with medical, clinical, and operational staff
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to fellow nursing team members as needed
- Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented environment
- Current, active, and unencumbered Pennsylvania LPN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current First Aid certification
- Current AED certification
- Behavioral health nursing

- Inpatient nursing experience
