Pyramid Healthcare in Radford, VA is seeking an LPN for per diem inpatient coverage. You will provide hands-on nursing care to individuals with substance use disorders and behavioral health concerns, working with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and stability.

The role offers per diem scheduling, with shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, and a focus on medication administration, withdrawal management, and patient education in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support per physician orders and policies.
• Complete nursing assessments, screenings, admissions, and documentation.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
• Support withdrawal management and assessment tools (e.g., CIWA, COWS).
• Provide health education to clients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and the treatment team.
• Maintain medications, equipment, and supplies per standards.
• Promote continuity of care with interdisciplinary team.

Pay: $24–$29/hour

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
• Complete nursing assessments, screenings, observations, admissions, and clinical documentation.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness, client response, and potential side effects.
• Monitor and support withdrawal management, including CIWA, COWS, and other clinical assessment tools as appropriate.
• Provide medication and health education to clients and families.
• Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers with assessments, medication management, and treatment planning.
• Monitor changes in client condition and communicate significant clinical findings to the treatment team.
• Maintain medications, medical equipment, and clinical supplies according to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote continuity of care and successful treatment outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete required training and documentation.
