Jefferson County Public Schools in Perry Elementary is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the health services team for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the health services leadership and works under Kentucky Board of Nursing guidelines to deliver school-based health care.

You will collaborate with the assigned RN/APRN, support students, staff and families, and help promote health and wellness in the Perry Elementary location under a 195-day/8-hour calendar.

Formación

• Current license as a Kentucky Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or license recognized by the KY Board of Nursing through the Interstate Compact.
• One (1) year of successful experience

• Provide health services under the Kentucky Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Collaborate with RN/APRN to deliver health services in the school setting.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functions in an LPN role as defined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Collaborates with the assigned Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Health Services Nurse Practitioners who provide direction and delegation (APRN) to Provide health services as outlined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing Scope of Practice for RNs and Advisory Opinion Statement on Roles of School Nurses in School Nursing Practice. Works with students, staff and families to support health and wellness in assigned work location(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current license as a Kentucky Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or license recognized by the KY Board of Nursing through the Interstate Compact
• One (1) year of successful experience
