LRADAC is seeking a Part-time Night-Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on monitoring and providing medical treatment in a sub-acute withdrawal management setting, under supervision of the Director.

Primary duties include client assessment, medication administration per standing orders, and coordination of care on the Detox withdrawal unit. LPN licensure in SC and CPR certification are required; tobacco-free campus policy applies.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; 1 year of related experience and/or training required.
• SC LPN licensure required; CPR certificate required.

As a Nurse, LPN the primary duty is to monitor and provide medical treatment and supportive services in a medical sub-acute withdrawal management treatment setting. Under regular supervision of the Director, the incumbent works with clients to provide services on the Detox withdrawal management unit. Primary job duties performed include assessment of clients, to include withdrawal management screening; auditing and administering medications per standing protocols and/or provider’s orders; and providing recovery support to clients on the unit.

Position Logistics

• Part-time, Working 12.5-hours per day, ability to work up to 29 hours per week
• Routinely Wednesday: 6:45 PM-7:15 AM
• $3 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00pm-7:00am and all weekend hours Saturday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM.
• Eligible for holiday pay
• ESSENTIAL WORKER-Eligible for critical shift differential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
• Perform initial nursing admission assessments as may be required to include NAH-SAE, CIWA, COWS and nursing care plan.
• Ensure adequate and proper medication regimen is started on each client per protocol. Assist provider and implement orders.
• Screen clients (telephone assessment and walk-ins) to determine if admission criteria are met and refer to appropriate level of care.
• Pre-certify and review clients with third party payers.
• Direct ancillary staff/coordinate client care during the shift.

Minimum Education and/or Experience

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university; and one year of related experience and/or training are required. State LPN licensure and CPR certificate are required.

SC Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.
