Job summary

Avantara Arrowhead in South Dakota is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead the clinical team on your assigned unit. You will supervise all licensed and nursing staff, oversee daily operations, and uphold the facility’s high standard of care.

The role emphasizes infection prevention, staff education, and ensuring adequate staffing to meet residents’ needs. Eligible candidates hold an SD LPN or RN license with CPR/BLS certification and prior nursing management experience.

Qualifications

• Must have an unencumbered State of South Dakota LPN or RN license.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Prior experience managing a nursing department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and education to clinical staff.

As a Nurse Unit Manager are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Arrowhead by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of South Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license, and CPR/BLS Certification, Prior experience managing a nursing department and five (5) years of experience is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
