Job summary

Avantara Arrowhead is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a nursing unit. You will supervise clinical staff, provide guidance and education, and ensure high standards of resident care in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The role requires an active SD RN or LPN license and CPR/BLS certification, with prior nursing department management experience preferred. Avantara Arrowhead offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum state licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Prior experience managing a nursing department preferred.

As a Nurse Unit Manager are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Arrowhead by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of South Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license, and CPR/BLS Certification, Prior experience managing a nursing department and five (5) years of experience is preferable, but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
