Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a full-time nurse leader for the Ortho/Trauma/Spine unit. The role directs professional nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on a 57-bed telemetry unit.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, maintaining quality metrics, and ensuring appropriate staffing while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure is required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or equivalent experience as determined by the company.
• Current State RN licensure in PA or multi-state via eNLC.
• BSN preferred for advanced practice or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and monitors quality and patient satisfaction metrics.
• Serves as clinical expert and role model; mentors staff.
• Demonstrates effective communication to lead the team and optimize patient care.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Ensures appropriate staffing levels to meet productivity and care needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
