Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager to lead the Ortho-Spine unit and oversee shift operations, staffing, and patient flow. The CANM will ensure delivery of high-quality care, collaboration with nursing leadership, and a focus on patient experience.

The role requires RN licensure in Alabama (NLC acceptable), BLS, and prior acute care leadership experience. The unit features a 6:1 patient ratio on a 30-bed orth/spine unit and benefits are described in

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Alabama (or NLC) is required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure high-quality care and patient flow.
• Coordinate staffing assignments based on patient acuity and team skills.
• Monitor patient status and ensure compliance with physician orders and policies.
• Support frontline team members and providers and promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Engage with patients/families via rounds and address complaints to improve experience.
