Job summary

Pittsburgh Tomorrow is seeking a Clinician Nurse Leader to provide direct supervision for a team of nurses on the Adult Acute Care unit. You will influence culture of excellence, deliver staff evaluations, and partner with teaching teams to support education and onboarding.

You will mentor preceptors, oversee performance, coordinate with discharge planning, and ensure high-quality patient care across diverse cases, from hepatology to post-surgical care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; BS/BSN required.
• Current RN licensure in practicing state; CPR per AHA requirements within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships; mentors staff and models professional communication.
• Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement tools to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supports development of others, acts as preceptor for students and new staff, and fosters learning across the team.
• Aligns unit goals with organizational health-system priorities to improve safety, quality and patient satisfaction.
• Applies Relationship Based Care principles; uses nursing process to meet patient needs and promote coordination of care.
• Leads staff evaluations and participates in hiring decisions for nursing staff.
