Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a PRN nurse for the OK-SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest to support daily operations, mentor staff, and assist with training. The role emphasizes collaboration with department leaders, adherence to nursing standards, and ongoing education.

Responsibilities include monitoring workflows, participating in performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with policies. The position is on-site with day shifts, offering a comprehensive benefits package for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• Two years’ registered nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors report as outlined by department leader to ensure daily work flow/volumes are managed, opportunities identified, and results acted upon.
• Collaborates with department leader overseeing day-to-day operations, including mentoring, orientation/training and problem solving.
• Identifies and gathers performance and quality concerns and addresses them as appropriate.
• Participates in the performance review process by soliciting peer feedback and providing input.
• Assists with oversight and supervision of staff.
• Assists in on-the-job training of new staff ensuring compliance with tasks and departmental policies.
• Help with staff planning/attendance, management/recording and time off process.
• Participates in development of training and procedure manuals.
• Leads or participates in regular staff and department meetings.
• As an SSM Health nurse, demonstrates professional nursing standards and ethical guidance.
