Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an Informaticist Registered Nurse to lead assessment, planning, and evaluation of EHR-enhanced hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with clinical workflows.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, support education and competency development, and drive quality improvement through data analysis, process evaluation, and change management. This is a full-time role with VA benefits and potential telework options.

Qualifications

RN license in the United States and active status
BSN/MSN preferred for advanced roles
Experience with EHR optimization and change management

Responsibilities

Leads assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of EHR-integrated hardware and software to improve clinical workflows
Applies core informatics functions including content management, application support, HIT system optimization, and data management
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and program/service leaders to support informatics initiatives
Builds and maintains professional relationships to facilitate communication, problem-solving, and system enhancement
Provides education, orientation, and competency support for staff related to informatics systems and workflow changes
Supports quality improvement and outcome-utilization efforts through data analysis and process evaluation
