Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Informatics Registered Nurse to lead assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the EHR and clinical programs.

Qualifications

English language proficiency
Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE
Current, full, active, unrestricted RN license in a US state or territory
Eligibility for state nursing licensure upon completion of bridge program or equivalent
Experience with nursing informatics including EHR optimization and clinical systems
Experience with EPIC, Cerner or other EHR systems and Power BI or data analysis tools

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, optimization, and evaluation of clinical systems integrated with the EHR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery and outcomes
Manage content and application support within health IT programs
Provide change management and education for clinical staff
Travel to multiple VA sites as required
