Job summary

Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking an Informaticist Registered Nurse to optimize EHR hardware and software, align it with clinical workflows, and support education and competency development across teams. The role advances quality improvement through core informatics functions including data, systems, and change management.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in a U.S. state
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher (MSN preferred)
• English proficiency for professional communication as required by VA
• Licensure/certification requirements vary by state and role
• Experience in nursing informatics and data-driven improvement is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of EHR-integrated hardware and software to improve clinical workflows
• Apply informatics functions: content management, application support, HIT system optimization, data management, change management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and VA staff to support informatics initiatives
• Provide education, orientation and competency support for staff on informatics systems and workflows
• Support quality improvement and outcomes analysis through data analysis and process evaluation
