Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process. You will lead other team members, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and promote patient/family-centered care in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; current SC Board of Nursing licensure or a compact state; and BLS certification. One year of RN experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN with Associate or Diploma must enroll in BSN within two years and complete BSN within four years.
• Minimum one year of RN experience required.
• Valid licensure as RN in SC or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver patient/family-centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with privacy and professional behavior.
• Participate in governance, peer review, and professional development to promote clinical excellence.
