Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process. You will lead other team members, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and deliver patient-family centered care in alignment with MUSC standards.

The role requires SC RN licensure, BLS, and a minimum of one year of RN experience. BSN preferred, with BSN coursework required for those with an associate/diploma within four years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN with Associate or Diploma must enroll in BSN within two years and obtain BSN within four years of hire.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Lead and direct other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and environmental needs.
• Coordinate care, health teaching, promotion and evaluation of goals per MUSC policies.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and participate in professional practice growth.
