Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Juvenile Corrections at Ferris School in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II to join our medical team in a full-time capacity. You’ll provide hands-on nursing care, serve as on-site clinical lead, and support a secure, therapeutic environment for youth ages 13–18.

You will triage, administer medications, and coordinate care across a multi-disciplinary team, with a focus on safety, infection control, and patient education.

Qualifications

• RN license or eligible for licensure in DE/MD/PA/NJ.
• BSN preferred; ADN considered with agreement of BSN in 3 years.
• Two years’ RN experience in correctional, pediatric/adolescent, or psychiatric preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• DYRS background check with fingerprinting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
• Conduct assessments and triage acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans and administer medications.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote coordinated care.
• Maintain clinical documentation and state systems; participate in quality improvement.
