Job summary

Westboroughbehavioral is seeking a Nursing House Supervisor to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care on the assigned shift in Westborough, MA. The role supervises staff, manages unit activities, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.

This part-time daytime position runs 7:00am to 7:30pm, with opportunities to participate in professional development, lead an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• NLNAC or CCNE accredited nursing program (BSN/MSN preferred).
• 1-2 years experience in acute psychiatric setting with leadership ability preferred.
• Current MA RN license, CPR and CPI certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Must be 21 years of age and have a current negative TB test or medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff and hospital units during the assigned shift.
• Provide effective reporting and handoff at end of each 12-hour shift.
• Represent administration during the assigned shift and communicate issues timely to staff.
• Ensure safe and expedient admission processes and conduct nursing assessments as needed.
• Supervise patient care and conduct rounds to ensure staff and patient safety.
• Instruct, guide and train staff in patient care responsibilities and assignments.
• Intervene in potential crisis situations and de-escalate aggressive patients.
• Uphold ethics and customer service standards and support safety programs.
