Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN or current BHSF RN pursuing BSN to achieve within 3 years of start date.
• Masters preferred.
• 5 years hospital or healthcare setting experience.
• Experience working with Staffing and Scheduling preferred.
• Supervisor/Management experience preferred.
• Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrates high ethical standards.
• Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
• Able to prioritize and delegate.
• ACLS, PALS or NRP required based on area of specialty.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in clinical problem solving, high risk patient process, internal and external incidents and codes, compliance standards and indentifies staff development and remediation needs.
• Represents entity and BHSF in the absence of senior leadership or as delegated.
• Provides support and direction to all hospital departments, collaborates closely with hospital leadership.
• Works closely with the staffing office to ensure that the 24 hour/7 day nursing staff needs meet budgeted standards of excellence.
• Oversees Flexible Staff from the Central Staffing Center during the assigned tour of duty.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership participating in performance improvement of the hospital wide continuum of care of patients to ensure quality, safety and patient and family centered care standards are met.
• Responsible for patient flow through the centralized prioritization of patients and staff placement per entity standards.
• Participates in committees as needed.
