TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Nursing Administrative Supervisor to lead staffing, patient care oversight, and emergency direction during nights and weekends.

You will round on units, collaborate with managers, ensure smooth patient flow, and serve as a clinical resource for staff. This role requires RN licensure in TN, 5 years of experience, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state.
• Associate degree in nursing or RN diploma; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred)

Responsibilities

• Represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinate issues for problem solving.
• Supervise nursing care and round on units to assess patient conditions.
• Communicate with Nursing Managers/Directors about unit issues.
• Coordinate with the Administrator on Call for critical situations.
• Collaborate with Bed Management for admissions and with Directors/Managers for patient placement.
• Facilitate transfer/admission of patients from clinical, hospital, ED and other locations.
• Assist with managing patient flow to reduce delays and issues.
• Serve as a resource for staff and providers for operational needs.
• Maintain oversight of hospital staffing during overnight hours.
• Liaise with per diem agency staffing.
• Support ICARE values and performance standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is responsible for staffing, patient care oversight, emergency direction, and handling complaints appropriately. This role functions as the administrative resource and expert clinician. The Supervisor provides operational and administrative oversight to all departments during off hours and weekends. The Administrative Supervisor problem solves and evaluates nursing care provided on the units and assign personnel accordingly.

What you will do in this role:

• Represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinates issues to appropriate level for problem solving

• Supervise nursing care and ascertain the condition of patients by rounding on all nursing units.

• Communicate with nursing Managers/Directors concerning issues on the individual unit(s).

• Communicate with the Administrator on Call regarding situations of critical importance.

• Work collaboratively with Bed Management to ensure appropriate admissions and with Directors/Managers for the proper placement of patients on the units.

• Facilitate the flow of clinical information for the transfer/admission of patients from clinical, hospitals, emergency departments and other external locations.

• Assist with managing patient flow to eliminate delays and decrease potential issues.

• Serve as a resource for staff and providers for all operational needs.

• Maintain responsibility for the oversight of staffing for the hospital during overnight hours.

• Serve as liaison for per diem agency staffing.

• Support the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• 5 years of clinical experience required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
