The Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking a Registered Nurse Specialist to perform facility surveys across Florida using established processes. You will document findings and prepare survey reports, and may lead teams as needed.

Travel, weekends and holidays may be required. Successful completion of the mandatory Surveyor Test within 12 months is required; this mission essential role supports state healthcare oversight.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida and two years of professional nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections using an established survey process.
• Evaluate facilities for state licensure and federal Medicare/Medicaid certification.
• Document findings and complete survey reports.
• May perform surveys as an individual, team member, or team leader.
• Complete the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within 12 months.
• Work weekends or holidays as mission essential.
• Travel extensively, including overnight travel.
• Complete background checks and maintain a good attendance record.
