Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of state licensure and federal certification survey requirements.
• Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data.
• Ability to develop and implement various programs monitoring methodologies and techniques.
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections using an established survey process.
• Evaluate facilities for state licensure and federal certification requirements for participation under Medicare/Medicaid.
• Document findings and complete written reports of survey findings.
• Survey as an individual, team member or team leader as assigned.
• Complete the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within 12 months of employment.
