Job summary

The Gardens Rehab & Care Center in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Nursing Extern (LPN/RN) who is a recent graduate of a state-approved nursing program. This temporary externship offers hands-on learning, mentorship from licensed nurses, and exposure to daily nursing operations in a skilled nursing facility.

As an extern you will shadow staff, participate in resident care, and learn assessment, care planning, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, while preparing for NCLEX and licensure

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-approved nursing education program.
• Must pass the NCLEX within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain a current Arizona State Board of Nursing license within 60 days of hire.
• Commitment to pursuing and obtaining the appropriate nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist licensed nursing staff to deliver resident care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care plans.
• Notify licensed nurse of changes in resident condition.
• Document nursing notes, care plans, and MDS-related records accurately.
