Our Penn State Health Winter Nurse Externship program is an immersive 4 - week program (December 14, 2026 - January 9, 2027) designed to give participants hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and a real-world look at nursing before graduation. Due to the intensive nature of this opportunity, spots are limited, ensuring each participant is prepared to take the next steps in their nursing journey. The first three days are mandatory for orientation.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible to a Registered Nurse for performing basic bedside care and selected nursing procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Nursing student of an accredited Nursing Program and one clinical rotation, or a Graduate Nurse without Boards required.
