Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nurse Extern who will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting care from birth through the lifecycle. This role involves assisting with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting per hospital policy.

Education requirements include enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of the first Med/Surg rotation and Basic Life Support certification;

Qualifications

• Enrolled nursing student who has completed the first Med/Surg rotation (Required).
• No prior work experience required (Required).
• BCLS certification required; CNA/PCT or phlebotomy/ECG certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under RN supervision.
• Assist with treatments, procedures and use of equipment per hospital policy.
