Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN to gain hands-on experience within the nursing team and explore the Registered Nurse role while providing safe, compassionate care.

You will support ADLs, monitor vital signs, document care, educate patients, maintain clean environments, and participate in ongoing learning with your supervisor to build your professional development plan.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing tasks.
• Monitor vital signs and support mobility and hygiene.
• Document care and communicate updates to the nursing team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and follow infection prevention practices.
• Engage in learning opportunities and develop a personal career plan with a supervisor.
