HCA HealthONE Rose is seeking a Nurse Extern for PRN float pool opportunities in the Denver area. You will gain hands-on experience and support the RN team while exploring the full scope of nursing responsibilities.

The role emphasizes learning, patient safety, and collaboration with the nursing team, with growth toward more advanced responsibilities as you progress through your nursing program.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start date
• Foundation in nursing with degree in nursing program or RN track
• Willingness to learn and grow in nursing role

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and monitor vital signs
• Provide basic nursing tasks such as wound care and specimen collection as competency grows
• Document care and communicate updates with the nursing team
• Educate patients and families about care plans and recovery processes
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and follow infection prevention practices
• Engage in learning opportunities and develop a career plan with supervision
