Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN ICU to gain hands-on nursing experience within a fast-paced ICU team. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, support mobility and hygiene, and learn basic nursing tasks under supervision.

You will document care, communicate updates, and help patients and families understand care plans, while following infection prevention and safety standards. This role offers PRN scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ADLs, vital signs, mobility, and hygiene to support patient safety and comfort.
• Performs basic nursing tasks as you gain experience and competency.
• Documents care accurately and communicates updates to the nursing team.
• Explains care plans to patients and families to aid understanding and adherence.
