Rutherford Regional Health System, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Nurse Extern to gain hands-on clinical experience while supporting patient care under RN supervision.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, document care, and collaborate with the care team to support safety and quality initiatives. Current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing (1st year or higher), active CNA, and BLS certification are required.

Qualifikationen

• Current student in an accredited School of Nursing (1st year or higher).
• Active CNA certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Aufgaben

• Works with patient care team to support safe, high-quality care.
• Performs direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, mobility).
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the supervising RN.
• Documents care provided per hospital standards.
• Maintains professional relationships with patients, families and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
