Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Nurse Extern who is enrolled in an accredited RN program and has completed Nursing fundamentals. The role includes helping patients with daily living activities and basic care, under RN supervision.

Cross-training may include unit secretary clerical duties; applicants should be ready to learn clinical skills and participate in patient care planning under supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and senior year in an accredited school of nursing.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic patient care.
• Participate inpatient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation.
• 1:1 preceptorship with a Registered Nurse.
