Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks a Nurse Extern (PRN) to support the nursing team with essential patient care and learning opportunities. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience as you explore the Registered Nurse responsibilities while delivering compassionate, safe care.

You will assist with ADLs, vital signs, wound care, and basic nursing tasks under supervision, while advancing your clinical skills through structured preceptorship and ongoing education opportunities provided

Qualifikationen

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

Aufgaben

Provide essential patient care including ADLs, vital signs, mobility support, and comfort hygiene
Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as you gain experience
Document care accurately and communicate updates with the nursing team
Assist patients and families in understanding care plans and recovery steps
Maintain clean, safe patient areas by following infection prevention practices and organizing equipment
Engage in growth opportunities and collaborate with preceptor to build a personal career development plan
