Job summary

Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas, invites applications for a Nurse Extern. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, gaining hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

You will rotate throughout the facility, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, perform direct patient care under supervision, document care, and contribute to safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nursing student with no more than one year left.
• Completed all hands-on clinical check-offs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the patient care team.
• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Document patient care performed.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to RN.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and team.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Coordinate across disciplines for transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual support.
• Assess learning needs and educate patient/family.
• Advocate for patient well-being.
• Support performance improvement initiatives.
