Tenet Healthcare's Nurse Extern II – Step Down at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital seeks a student to provide multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, handling ADLs, vitals, and mobility.

The NE II reports deviations to the RN, participates in mentoring, and develops skills during a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM days shift in a PT2Y role, with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

Summary Description

The Nurse Extern II (NE II) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi‑skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The NE II works under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and NE II skills and abilities. The NE II will report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse and assist with providing patient care such as activities of daily living (ADLs), vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of a patient care technician.
