Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Nurse Extern II – Step Down at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital seeks a student to provide multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, handling ADLs, vitals, and mobility.

The NE II reports deviations to the RN, participates in mentoring, and develops skills during a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM days shift in a PT2Y role, with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Applicants may apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.

Responsibilities

• Report deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
• Assist with patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assigned each shift.
• Provide patient care including ADLs, vitals, ambulation, and other tasks within the scope of a patient care technician.
• Receive ongoing mentorship and feedback from the assigned registered nurse.
