Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center in Massachusetts is seeking a Nurse Extern to gain expanded clinical experience while supporting the Registered Nursing staff in our med-surg units.

You will participate in patient care planning, execution, observation and evaluation, reporting significant findings to a supervising RN. This role offers hands-on learning in a hospital with a primary stroke center and a modern care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated within the past 6 months from an accredited RN program and actively taking steps to obtain RN license.
• CPR certification is required.
• Background check and pre-employment health screening including drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities.
• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation.
• Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
