Valley Baptist - Harlingen is seeking a Nurse Extern for Per Diem, Days to support med-surg patients in advanced facilities including a primary stroke center and LTAC unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to gain expanded clinical experience while assisting RN staff with patient care planning and delivery.

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, in their senior year, capable of completing senior courses, and possessing AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and in their senior year; must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nursing staff with patient care activities and participate in care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation.
• Provide 1:1 preceptorship with a Registered Nurse at Level II.
