Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Harper University Hospital is seeking a Nurse Extern II - Burn to support patient care on the burn unit. You will work under a registered nurse, assist with ADLs, vitals, mobility, and other duties within the scope of a patient care technician.

Applicants must be within 6 months of nursing program graduation and pass senior courses to stay in the program; mentorship will be provided by an experienced RN and you will report deviations to the RN.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be within 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs, vitals, ambulation and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent.
• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and report deviations from expected patient parameters to the RN.
• Provide essential comfort and support to patients to enhance their hospital experience.
