Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence East Campus, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Nurse Extern for a developmental program designed for nursing students. This per diem role supports RN staff, expands clinical experience, and assists in patient care planning and evaluation under supervision.

Enrollment in an accredited RN program and a current AHA BLS certification are required, with eligibility determined by the nursing board guidelines and campus policies.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and upon completion of first clinical rotation.
• Certification: AHA BLS.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Extern assists RN staff by performing patient care activities, participates in care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, and reports significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
