Qualifications

• School of Nursing 3rd year student or higher.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under the direction, delegation and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to supervising RN.
• Maintains positive professional relationship with patient/families, coworkers, and health care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
